jd450 wont move forward or reverse would this be internal drive clutch or something else ? how big of a job to replace ? thinking of buying it price is right

Pull the seat and the cover plate for the pinion. Start the dozer and very carefully put in gear.
If the pinion turns, the problem is in the steering clutches/finals.
If the pinion does not turn, problem is main clutch/reverser/trans.
I hope this helps narrow it down.
