JD backhoe attachment
Does any know what a backhoe attachment for my JD 450b would run? Also do you have any idea where I could get one?
Thanks

Do you have a loader or a dozer machine?
The plumbing for a hoe is really not that complicated. Why don't you take a picture of the valve area from the top and from the trap door on the side of hydrualic tank.
Hoe hooks are getting very hard to find in my option. Hoes are not that difficult, although I have been looking for a 9550 in any condition for some time. 9300's and other models are much more common.
We have also adapted other hoe attachments to fit the deere mounting brackes, such as a hoe off a 580 case loader backhoe, Case D125 Hoe off a trencher and a mid sized Ditch Witch hoe.
Think about what type of hoe work you are going to do. If you want to dig in 8' deep water lines go with a full size deere hoes. If you need something for shallow work, consider doing a conversion on another brand of smaller hoe. Depends if you have the time and tools.

I have 93 A back hoe it,s a burte. I ran it last week to brake up clay. The out riggers leak off. The bushing are worn out it swings very good an digs good . Its way to big for my 1970 350 thats what Deere put on them. Its alot better suted for the 450. I have a smaller 1500 LB case hoe that looks an works fine for my 350.I think my 93 A should be worth 1500$

Hello,
I was looking at the pictures you have and I notice in one picture there is a hydraulic line that could very well be one of the lines you are looking for. If you could get us a good clear picture of the area directly under the seat cushion, that would be great. I'm wondering if the backhoe lines are under your seat as apposed to hanging down where they usually are?
On another note, I noticed you have been using concrete blocks to use as blocking... I'm not trying to be a smart ass but you really don't want to use concrete blocks. From what I see in one of your pictures, you have already had at least one fail. Get you some good tie blocks or some sort of good square cut, hard wood blocking. Don't use fire wood! Get them large enough to be stable and if you can get it on firm ground that would be even better. I personally would like to see you around this forum for a good long time and not have to be reading an obituary. Please be careful when jacking these machines up off the ground. Being safe is always better than being sorry.
Again I'm just concerned for your safety. Leonard
