Hello !
little update .
both track tensioner had been resealed:
left steering clucth has a jammed throwout bearing and many borken disk
having the jammed bearing made the clutch fingers became so thin that they were about to be grinded to death .
there is the fix all cleaned up and ajusted :
adjustment made with Lavoy's gauge and using my drillpress to actuate
the clutch fingers equaly using the thowout bearing .
still waiting for my top idlers and bottom rollers as well as the fron idlers !
many electrical rewiring for lights done .
having fun ! can't wait to get that bay out and push dirt !

Thanks for the Pix! Great to have these for future reference. I can honestly say that I have never seen a track adjuster ram with that configuration before. Looks good though! Thanks again and keep us posted on the progress!

Good detailed pics André! The press drill trick is a good idea. Those Steering clutches needed some medical attention...

Hello !
more progress , having the dozer open made me check deeper and it is a good thing I found some more broken parts and close to break parts ,
1- Thermostat was shot closed & broken
2- Radiator holder ( upper missing ) so I made myself a new one
3- Radiator holder ( lower close to death) so I will make them tonight
4- Alternator bracket completely jammed so adjustment very hard to
perform.
5- water pump thermostat bypass hose was slightly leaking
6- Also think I found what the little hose attached to the air entry was for
( cold start aid appartus).
7- Cleaned the whole front engine.
enjoy the pics .
Cold start aid hose entry ( seems it was squeezed shut )
Original upper holder for RAD
home made one
rivet will be replaced by small nuts, bolts & whasers cause I think those rivets will not sustain the vibration too long

Andre,
I must admit I am impressed with the thoroughness of the work you are doing. However you do have something that bothers me a little and that is the picture you show of your final drive with the brass drain plug. That plug is very susceptible to being hit by large objects such as stumps, Rocks (Stones) and any number of things you may encounter with your machine.
That plug and any plug that is in this area should be a recessed plug and preferably made of steel rather than brass.
Other than that it looks great and the pictures are awesome. Good job!!
