I see you built new radiator cushions. I Just replaced those upper radiator cushions on mine. Some one before me bolted them solid. Im surprised the radiator held up. Watching it with the hood off that thing really jiggles around.

and two rollers also

enjoy !!

Image
Image

idler had there center ledge plasma reduced , I'm trying this method
instead of having the idler reloaded since reloading is tricky due to the fact that the idlers are CAST iron , time will tell if I made a good or bad decision !! it wouldn't be my first and last mistake .

only thing left is to fix 2 leaking cylinder
and putting back one pad that was distorded .

and the engine puurrrs very well !!

brake & clutch are re-adjusted and ready for a road test ! heu field test !!

One of my goal here is very simple , give back what I fetched , which means I asked a lot of questions and help on doing my work and now it is payback time with my work and pics , if this help anyone fixed their machine than I'm glad to do so , I love to share my experience good or bad .

We are very fortunate to have internet and acces to fast picture taking and hosting so why not use the technology for a good cause in a good way .

thank you to all for your help ! don't you worryI'l be back with more questions casue I intend to repack my cylinder by my self !!!

Hello !

Here I go again ,

Update the shifter knob as well as blocking third & fourth gear ( so my friend can't do any race with it ( he's a machine destroyer ) .

removed cleaned & re-assemble the oil-level window.
was I happy to throw out the sloted screw !!! lol

change my hydaulic oil reservoir filter !! what a great idea !
the filter was so old ( I only have the dozer for a year now but the filter had been there since 1966 ( I think )) that it was loosen and it tilted to the back so I had a fair share of problem to remove it from the tank, I had to crush it with a pry bar.

Also cleaned the micronic filter , it was very filthy as well as the tank .

filled back the tank using paint filter to make sure I wasn't putting back any sediment in the tank.

here are the pics .

enjoy !!!

HI !

belly protection pan is back on.
The dozer is out the garage but it is not steering properly at all !!

I suspect a bad steering clutch adjustement ,
was too late last evening so it will have to be another day .

I find it very hard and akward to adjust those cluchtes & brake we see nothing in that black pit !!!

I just noticed your serial number on the 350, and, I had thought from posts on FAQ's that the numbers started at 10000. I have been thinking that my 350 serial was very early at 10285t however, if your number is correct, then I am needing to correct myself. I have been assuming mine was the 285th off the line. I may have to go back and edit a few posts.

Great job on the restoration, and I hope you get those clutches figured out soon. I have at times made several attempts, following the instructions carefully, before I could get them to work properly. I can't explain why it has not always worked for me on the first try???
