1968 350 oil change

have 350 straight with gas engine and was wondering how many qts oil the engine takes on oil & filter change also what oil is recomended thanks

It should be nine quarts (9qts US). I would use a good quality oil like Chevron Delo, Valvoline or Shell Rotella. NAPA oil is also a good oil. Any good quality oil is okay in my opinion.
Depending on what part of the country you are in will determine what weight oil to use. On a gas burner I've always stuck with a straight weight oil. 30 weight in summer and 20 weight in winter. However I know guys that have used 10 / 40 in their gas burners with no problems. I use 15 / 40 in Diesels. Our Northern brothers and sisters probably use something lighter.
40 plus years working on JD 350s, 400Gs, 450s and other equipment both Ag and Construction.
