As for getting the machine to a shop, I'll check into that. But I really think I will most likely be doing the work in the field. I'm a little hard headed I guess.... Refer to line #1!

Seriously, I think I probably have all of the tools and enough experience to handle the work, I just really dread the work under the bottom.

Hey... Good luck and remember "Patients" is the key word here! Don't worry too much about your wife either... Just tell her you are out with John Deere. She will understand I'm sure!!! If not then invite her along! Well... maybe not...!
As for our proud heritage.... I am proud of my heritage and so should everyone! No matter where they are from they should be proud of who they are. And by the way... A good gentleman from Vermont recently told me that hillbillies out his way are known as "Woodchucks"! Given their geographic location in this great country of ours, I think it fits!! He will know who he is because he contributes to this forum and I know he has been keeping track of this thread I'm sure!

Well - I finally had time to tear down the engine today. I found broken rings on #2 and #3 Cylinders.

Well I finally got the Loader Engine back together yesterday after rebuilding the head, new pistons, rings, cylinder sleeves, reworking the rods, and new rod bearings. The engine is running great! It starts easily and runs great!

Thanks for the help on this project - Now on to other things on the loader. I'll be doing some research and then I may need to post seeking help with a reverser leak.
