I am looking at a JD 450 Loader for sale. I am looking for the serial#. I read through the FAQs and it gave me info on the year of the JD the serial # indicated but not where the number was located. I believe the JD 450 Loader is between 1965 and 1970, where is this number located?
Also, the JD has a cracked Oil Ring. How much in parts should I expect to spend on fixing this myself?

On our 350 loader, the number is located on the front of the seat by your right leg, not sure if that is where the 450's are located
