If so what did it cost?
My 350 won't turn left anymore, and I think I have it adjusted as far as I can. I'm too busy-old-lazy-inept to do it myself and I was thinking of having the local Deere industrial dealer do it. Wondering what kind of sticker shock I'm in for.
Anyone had a steering clutch fixed professionally?
Doing two next week when we get the parts
If you live close to Ware Massachusetts, come on down. I would be happy to help you with it. We are going to be doing both ours next week. I will just be using my shop manual and what I have learned the week before from the posts on this site. I did just order the clutch guage from Lavoy and with the pictures from Andregrogin and his maintenance thread I feel 80% confident I can handle it. From what I can see its pretty straight forward, as long as you put the disk first and then the snap ring. I can't say it is a proffesional rebuild as I have never done one. I guess you could look at it this way, I have more to loose than you do. If we mess up on three at least you can still go in circles.

all the pics are there
I've done it twice and it is very chalenging job especialy when you try to put back the final drive on !! make sure you don't force the final drive too hard , check so the brake band is loossen enough to let the brake drum in.
good luck

I just had both of mine done.
I bought non-ebay parts and cost of parts including core charges was nearly $3k, so 1/2 of that for one side.
Labor is going to vary depending on what else is found, I had rusted frozen parts, a plate that controlled side movement of rollers that was bad, as well as a few more parts; bearings and hoses. This part of the bill was @$5.5k but did include @$1k of backhoe service work. (the labor rate was $70 per hour).
One side maybe best case scenarios would be $2.5k if you used ebay parts (and they were viable) at less than $1k and there were no other issues found.
