final drive housing 350B

is it ok to switch final drives from one side to the other? Reason for this question is that I found 3 stripped 3/4 inch bolts that attach rear crossbar to the housing on left side. According to my parts book both sides are same. If I can switch sides it would give the unstriped holes where I need them, and since I have to remove the left to repair, maybe I can remove the right side and put it to the left, and then left side to right. Does this make any sense??

Yes you can switch sides with the finals.
