I'm thinking of selling my 66 450, so I can buy a more modern version, specifically something with a hydraulic 6 way blade, if looked into retrofitting my blade but have been unable to locate a decent 6 way blade. I'm into this machine for about 25k, the engine was rebuilt last year, and it was repainted and had new steering clutches installed 2 years ago.
Does anyone have any opinions on this matter as to whether or not I should keep what I have with dry clutches and a manual blade, or trade up to something with wet clutches and a hydraulic blade.

I think you have invested more into your 450 than selling it would return. I bet you have it running real nice though. And looking good as well.
What are you using it for?

450
I don't do excavation for a living, but not having the six way blade is frustrating, I'm a carpenter by trade and like to do my own dirt work, and would like to get more into excavation as time goes by. I enjoy the straight 450, but I worry that the infrequent amount of use I give it, that the steering clutches will seize up, I keep it garaged so hopefully that helps.
