Cat D3C II sold

Post by drummer » Wed Oct 17, 2012 8:36 pm

I just sold my 1993 Cat D3C II and the new owner noticed my blade angling rams were loose were they attach to the frame. Took apart today and the ball and socket housing were gone on both sides - only the race left and about an inch and one half of play. New ball parts and pins and as good as new. Question are Deeres the same? Cat parts guy said this is very common with Cat. I'm down to one dozer now - the 440 ICD. My 440 wheel tractor is all repaired and awaiting paint. Some day will post some pics. Thanks to all for the help with the reverser.
440 ICD,#64 six way blade, center throttle, late March 1960 build; 440 I gas wheel tractor, loader, 3 pt, float ride seat, pto, reverser, 5speed.
