350b final drive bearings

Post by jdsfel » Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:56 pm

Hello everyone, I am new to this great forum and in need of some info.
I am currently rebuilding my 350b dozer's right side final and doing new brake bands on both sides. The reason for the rebuild is a failed bearing on pinion shaft which resulted in broken housing. BUMMER! Anyhow I have both parts and service manuals but bearing part numbers are all JD numbers which are no help to my local bearing and seal supplier.
Has anyone got timken or skf numbers for all 4 bearings in final drive?
I appreciate any and all help. Thanks Jerry

jtrichard Thanks for quick reply
I have actually gotten the numbers off the drive axle bearings but the pinion bearings no longer exist.

Your Deere dealer, if he is worth his salt should be ale to cross reference those numbers for you. Even from old Deere part numbers. I would be skeptical of your dealer. I have also used my local NAPA store who has a cross reference from Deere to what ever.

ok here we go i think these are right ...jd7418=br25520....jd7395=br25580...jd7145=6007J...jd7390=02475.....jd8902=LM501349....jd8237=LM501310...jd8989=02786....jd7292=br3902....AT58390=CR17381....AT36097=38751....the only price i found on the 38751 is $176 as for the bearings Napa was higher than green parts....A bearing house should be better than Napa be better price i would check Deere and compare that one sight had complete kit for about $250 the 38751seal looks like a big one piece double seal where the kit looks like they use 2 seals in place of that pricey one

I only stock a couple of the numbers, but all are readily available.
I don't have the axle seal on hand either, but short time to get.

Thanks to all who have replied.I am at the early stages of this little repair and am still gathering info on whats needed and their numbers. I do plan on buying some of the parts from Lavoy and we have already spoken once as he helped me find a housing. For the bearings and seals though I get a pretty good price locally. As for the 38751 the best I have found is $120.
Thanks again and I will keep you posted on my repair. Jerry
