Hey guys,
I need a little help.
I read somewhere that the transmission and the steering clutches share the same oil. So if I drain the transmission will I drain the steering clutches also? If I have to drain the clutches seperat will I have to drop the counterweight to get to the drain plugs?
Thanks

It's been awhile but I remember there being 5 drain points. The transmission itself which is a huge bolt with over an inch head. Two drains for the clutches, mine took hex wrench and were located in flat spot of the clutch/transmission housing. Two drains in the finial drives (don't forget these!)
One other tip for you, make sure you have a really large drain pan....a 5 quart drain pan for changing oil in your car or truck won't do it. I have a 5 gallon pan and I had to put transmission plug back in and dump it twice.....there is alot of fluid that comes out of that bad boy.
