R&R Master link pin 350

Post by lane_neal » Tue Mar 12, 2013 7:34 am

I don't have the associated pin press, what is the best way to remove the master link pin on a 350. I removed the left pin by heating link and beating the crap out of it, two person operation, one on eight pound hammer other holding the drift, (with long channel lock pliers), any tricks of the trade will be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of tricks to get the master pin loose in the archives. here are a few of them- there are others if you search for them:

Worst case, you can burn out the end of the pins with a torch to get it out. Master pins aren't too terribly expensive.
