350 reverser

Post by speedbear » Wed Apr 10, 2013 6:38 am

I have only owned my 350 for about a year or so. I have used it for clearing trees & minor dirt moving. It has a factory mounted winch also.
I am stymied as to what the reverser does. It has the "shuttle shift" lever on the left of the seat, which has forward/reverse, so why another reverse activater lever???

Revers gear

Post by JWB Contracting » Wed Apr 10, 2013 10:04 pm

They came with a reverse gear as when equipped with a winch, the transmission must be in reverse and the reverser in forward in order to back up and winch in at the same time.

I've have noticed that in the C series, most dozers came with a reverse gear while loaders did not.
