jd 350 serial # confusion

I have a straight 350 and I'm a little confused about the serial numbering. I've read previous posts about the numbers but i don't know which apply to my tractor. T4F1D 058556T. I'd really appreciate some clarification beings how the dealership claims its a 1988 model but obviously its not.

I would agree with Richard on the year, based on the serial number (second part of data plate info). The first part of it is explained below- this was from a post on the 450 series, but you can see most of the codes are the same except the series (I believe "4" is for the 350 series) and the transmission (I'm guessing the "D" is a directional reverser):

2. This number designates the series 5 = JD450

5. This letter designates the type of transmission C = Collar Shift, M = Hi - Low Reverse
