Track chains and steering clutch adjustment.

Post by Nigel » Tue May 14, 2013 3:36 am

I have 350 Drott with a backhoe attachment that needs a new set of tracks and some adjusting of the right steering clutch/brake.
I have two questions to start with.
What modern track chains are compatable?
Where can I get a complete parts/maintenance manual?
I have an owners manual but I think I'm going to need something with a bit more detail.

Cheers from Australia.

350 is pretty much it as far as compatibility, but that is no problem, they are available new, I have a set coming this week.
Manuals are also readily available from many sources, I can get them, lots on EBay, they are available from Deere in both print and downloadable.

So do I just go to my nearest JD Dealer to get tracks?
Not sure if you noticed my location. Freight would be a problem

IT is possible they can bring them in with their regular stocking orders, so freight would be less than shipping directly.
Freight is not really an issue, I have a customer in NSW shipping 40,000lbs from California to Australia cheaper than I could ship it to California from North Dakota.

You will want to price check a set of off brand tracks + freight against a set of original JD tracks. I send skids of product to Australia (Melbourne) for less than most people think. I think the last shipment was 3 skids for about 1300 dollars.

I should maybe clarify, I dont send loader parts. My industry is not related in any way, just manufactured goods. I was merely wanting to point out that LTC freight is usually less than most people think.
