JD 450C

Hello,I need some help on my JD 450C,I am putting in a used control valve linkage,it is in way better shape that what was in,I need some help on the two mounting screws on the mounts,how do they come out,I have backed them out and seems there is one thread to long,I see that there is just a nut on the one end,not sure if I have to remove the whole valve.
