Reverser update

Post by MattE » Mon Jun 03, 2013 7:55 am

Pulled the reverser and it turned out to be an easy fix. Oil leak was a hose that was cut and spraying down onto the block and the pressure issue was a burr on the clutch spool connection that was not allowing it free travel. Only bad part was I had to tear it back out to find out what the problems were.

I was certain that I was not going to have to take it out again this time.

I machined a coupler and hooked the reverser up to an electric motor and variable frequency drive on the bench. It worked well made all of my adjustments without laying on the floor.

Only a month or two behind schedule, but at least i can get it back into the dirt now....Image[/img]
