350b crawler dozer float position

Post by Unclebeef » Thu Jun 27, 2013 9:28 pm

Hello All, i just purchased a new to me 1972 jd350b crawler dozer and i need some help. Does the dozer have a float position? I purchased the loader operators manual and the tractor operators manual from Deere but i cant seem to find anything mentioning a float position. Also it has a rear pto that spins when your in motion, i see in the manual it shows a pto lever by your feet near the pivot point for the steering controls, but i don't have a lever there? I still have to keep playing with it but thought some of you may have been down this road before. thanks for any help.

it should have a float pos. the detent is probably broken or the linkage is so worn that your not getting the spool far enough to lock in float

push "T" handle as far forward as possible and it should lock if it dont ...push forward and lift front of crawler off the ground (not to high) and then push farther and the front should drop like a rock

I forgot to ask you if you had any idea on the pto controls. how to stop and start the pto, any info is greatly appreciated.
