450 steering ?
Bought a 450 loader at consignment sale. knew it needed track work. But heres the problem. Will not turn left or right, pull levers way back nothing. goes forward and backward. Back in November had 8 fiber disc, 14 steel plates, 2 brake bands, 2 thrust bearings, 2 brass bushings. Changed out steering clutches and brakes for a grand total of 2600$ that bill was on the machine at sale time. Didnt talk to owner, but talked to shop that did the work he is going to look at next couple of days. What happened to it in about 6 months or so. thanks

Its an older one cant tell u the exact model its 60 miles west of here at a track shop. Havnt did anything with those yet. Both levers back, keeps moving forward or reverse what ever way ur going, no effect. The main brake pedal has no effect either and it was stuck on, had to pull it back to to platform by hand. Main clutch (engine clutch).seems to be fine, engine sounds good, loader lifts just wont turn with all those new parts.. the fellow that did this work is up the road about a mile from the track place, going to look at it, that was 2 weeks ago havnt heard anything. We have been busy farming so dont need it right now. So i thought would get some ideas here. Thanks.
You can also pull the inspection covers to try and see what is going on in there (excessive rust, water, etc.) but like was said it is probably just sticking which happens with dry clutches in humid areas when they aren't used regularly. I have broken my loose after sticking the way OlJoe indicated, so that may work.
