Do you have any of the manuals yet?

With mine the seat bottom removes so I can get to the steering linkage and check the transmission oil level.

Hey there 450cgreenhorn, have you looked at the linkage that connects to the steering valve under the seat cushion? Did it stop turning to the right all of a sudden? Our 1977 450c stopped turning to the right also. when I opened the left steering housing inspection plug I got oil coming out and I can hear oil spraying. I think I have a hole in the pressure hose that delivers oil from the steering valve to the clutch pack. I only have this symptom in the left steering housing. The right is good. I will have to take the battery box, fuel tank, seat frame and hydraulic tank off to get access to the steering housing top covers. I know I don't have to take the hydraulic tank off for the left side, but I think I'm going to inspect the right hose anyway. What year is your 450c. My Technical manual number is TM1102. Check your year and model before ordering. I paid like $99 for a downloadable copy from johndeere.com.

you adjust the tracks by pumping grease in the fitting on the arm right behind the front idler
