Hi-

If you are unable to find someone to e-mail you copies of the pages, you can order an electronic (immediate download) version from the John Deere bookstore. The link is in previous threads that I and others have posted on this site.

have you open the inspection plug in the steering housing, where you adjust the brakes? Our tractor lost the left side steering also and when I opened the plug to adjust the brakes I could hear and see oil spraying. After about 15 sec there was oil coming out the plug hole. One of the members on this site suggested that the pressure line might have a hole in it. That is exactly what I found when I tore it apart. Our 450c would move forward and backward on flat ground, but had no power to the left track. The tractor would not turn to the right because of it. It is simple to take apart, just labor intensive. It took me 2 days to get into both steering housings. would of went faster but I was working alone. Good Luck Sabaro.
