Intermittent track problem

Post by Jerry O'Neill » Wed Oct 09, 2013 3:55 pm

Intermittent track problem on a 2001, JD450H Dozer with 2200 hours. When I start or restart my dozer, and try to move foreword, The right track intermittently hesitates or stops for about 1 second and causes the dozer to lunch to the right.
After driving the dozer for about one or two minutes, everything works normal after that. This happens when the dozer is warm or cold.

well the nice thing about an H series is it is new enough for the dealer to take interest in but look in several places #1 what dose it say in the little computer window Keep a close eye on that window when problems pop up and always write down all codes you see #2 check the drive sprocket the track links or any thing in the drive sprocket or sticking in the track links #3 you can check right back into the drive motor for a problem #4 put it on the shop's computer see what happens as there are several sensors on that machine 's transmission an ambient temp sensor a transmission temperature sensor ,a pump pressure sensor, and out put shaft rotation speed sensor to name a few these machines are fly by wire so you can't always fix them your self .Good luck and keep in touch .Digitup.
