simple part need for '73 450B , an FEL knob for control

Post by srshaw3 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 2:50 am

Where do I order a replacement knob for the 450B FEL control?
The one on mine split in half.

Deere is likely only source. If you have a part number, I can check as well.

Thank you for trying, I am sorry, as a newbie, I thought FEL was standard. I presume you now understand it is Front End Loader.

The link you provided could be just what I need, but I don't the part number nor do I know what John Deere would call the knob.

The knob is threaded onto the shaft, so it should be replacable, just a matter of knowing the thread size possibly..... I did try moving a knob from another control, and the threads vary in diameter so it could not be switched.

Such a simple part it would seem :(
maybe just some aftermarket push on replacement? Or a racquetball :)

Go to your dealer, tell them what you are working on, and they can look it up for you.
