In my 450b manuals, the parts pages show a range of numbers when changes were made, the highest number listed is 390307. I think this means your winch is 450b production years or older. My 450 manual is at my cabin so I will look at it when I am there. yours is a low number, 052010, My guess is, it is from the years when 450 straight were produced. Perhaps asking guys with early 450s that came with original equipment winches could help narrow this down if they would supply some of their numbers for reference. Why is this important to know anyway?

thanks Scotty. I have all the serial numbers for all 350 and 450 machines, but the Machine serial number doesn't correspond to the winch. I know this is a much newer winch near the end of the run before the G-models went to the 4000 series winches. Just curious I guess. when did they quit making the #3325 ? It's not worth spending much time on but its one of those things where you think its a simple Question-answer type of thing and the harder it is to get the answer the more you want to know. thankyou, Mark.

If the winch came as original equipment with a crawler and we know the year of the crawler, by getting the serial number from the winch it would help us to know the year of that winch serial number. it would sort of help narrow it down a bit???

now I am curious as well

I agree Scottyb, except I bought this on craigslist and previous owner said he took it in trade and didn't know what it was on. I have finally received all the seals and parts I needed to rebuild this winch.. It is near the end of the production run of #3325 as it has all the newer style updates in the clutch pack and clutch pack housing.I thought it would help me get parts but it turned out O.K.

But like I said it just bugs me that I can't get an answer. Dealer was no help and gave up also. I guess I'll give it a rest and never know.

thanks for trying and advice, Mark.
