Hydraulic Seat for JD 350C ?
Hydraulic Seat for JD 350C ?
After running this machine for awhile the old back takes a beating. Just curious if anyone has done a seat upgrade ? Looking at some of these hydraulic seats on-line I think one could be retrofitted to work.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about hydraulic seats but air suspension was and still is an option with Deere from 450E days up Two of our new 550K's have pitch and tilt compensation as well as they are heated .Sullyt28 you got the bucks there is an outfit in Sudbury Ontario that sells most seats and all options you will ever need My 650H has heat and vibration in it I have back problems and I ordered it that way with 2 stage vibe and 3 stage heat the options were 150 bucks extra and the greatest option on a cold morning .Digitup.
I'm open to any and all options. After running this thing for a couple days I could barely get out of bed. Hats off to the guys that would run these machines all week.
I'm looking to drop some coin in the name of comfort, don't need to turn into a lazy boy, the machine will be out in the elements so durability is essential.
Would 450E system be universal to fit in this rig ? Anymore info. on that Sudbury contact would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I have access to all kinds of aftermarket seats, air " or more suspension and such. The think I am afraid of is you will be sitting about 18" higher at least on a suspension seat than you are now. I could be wrong, but I think an E model is pedal steer, so no steering lever or linkage under the seat so you can bolt directly to the top of the tranny so to speak.

Suspension seats for 350
What about some of the spring suspension after market seats for Ag tractors? I have one I am planning to install in my straight 350. The seat height will increase by a few inches. No heat or vibration but will soften the bumps and cost is less than $150.00
That Ag seat could be what I'm looking for just something to to soften the impact a little. Can you let me know what type of AG seat and any additional information you could offer. No need for the armrests.
There is some room under the seat, probably 6 inches. I could modify and gusset the cross member to free up a little room. I could go up a couple of inches keeping mind the seat will sag a couple of several inches as well with the body weight.
Lavoy I'm open to suggestions as well.

Pretty much everything I would have access to would have arm rests, but I would think you would want them. Some of them have fold up armrests, that might be a good way to go.
I can get stuff from $150-$1500 as far as seats, just depends on how fancy you want. Realistically, you might be able to get something on Ebay that is a takeoff or surplus item.

Quick update on this thread. I purchased a hydraulic seat from TSC used the side brackets off the old seat and welded a couple flat bars across the bottom. Bolted the seat up and it works great. Definitely notice a difference on the back after a few hours of use. Hope someone might find this helpful.
