Don't think I have ever seen a parallel jaw one, but have seen bigger ones.
How about Snap-On, Lisle, OTC or one of the specialty tool makers?

remove the lock ring have had to use a screw drive pry them off or when installing the cylinder I am working on is being a bugger!!!

Maybe you are already familiar with this website.. but just in case.
The style eludes me, just click on the style you want, and call if you need to know how far they open if they don't say (they've been pretty helpful in the past)

this seems to be the place if you have something hard to get, (Grade 9 fine thread left hand thread metric nut for instance), maybe not that specific, but you know what I mean.

Good luck

Im assuming that the link is ok since it's not a competitor of yours, Lavoy, and that you have given suggestions yourself.

Thanks Lurch the parallel pliers jaws stay straight when you open them I used them when rebuilding eaton truck transmissions, the lock rings on JD hydraulic are similar but larger and the pliers I have got it apart but not wanting to go together would like to find a larger pair of parallel.JIM
