Help with cylinder rebuild kits

Post by Rat Rod Mac » Sun Jun 22, 2014 4:52 am

I have a John Deere 350 bulldozer (a 350 not a "B" or "C") that we use on the farm here once in a while. The cylinders are leaking bad. I called a place that deals in cylinder kits and the only one they had was the tilt cylinder kit for around $35. Not bad. So I called another place and they wanted $90 per cylinder and John Deere was even worse on their price. Do any of you guys know of a place where a guy can order cylinder rebuild kits that the prices would be more in line with $35 - 50 bucks per cylinder? Thanks in advance. RRM

not sure where you live I am in MI there is a company called Martin Fluid power they handle all kinds of hydraulic seals I take them the samples they match up very reasonable have also used EBAY I also buy individual seal from Jd if you have part numbers lots less cost that way usually i just change the rod seals and packing gland.

good luck

Thanks for replying. I live in Ohio and putting in new glands and O-rings is all that I had in mind. Does that outfit in Michigan do mail order? Do you have their address? Thanks again. RRM

If you Google Martin Fluid Power you can contact them I would check JD Parts web site and price out individual seals and there not real pricy that way
I just did a couple on cylinders on a 302 tractor.
