450 root rake rear ripper

Post by hillclimber330 » Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:22 pm

Not sure if you are looking for the ripper attachment for the back, or a root rake for the front blade. Anyway, i have the entire rear ripper assembly sans the ripper blades and slots. it is currently on a 68 450. functioning very well, no leaks. I would sell it or trade it for a winch. I will be selling the entire assembly along with the support frame that runs up under the cab. let me know if this is something you are interested in. Can send pics to anyone interested via email.

450C root rake

Post by NWJD fan » Mon Jul 28, 2014 8:43 pm

I have a root rake/piling blade to fit a JD450C outside dozer. Only problem is it is in far Northwest British Columbia, Canada. Guessing about 2500 miles away. Shipping might cost more than having one fabricated locally.

There is a thread in the "Announcements" section of the board I wrote to describe how to post photos from third party sites like Photobucket.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment

Hi,

You have to 'program' the board to show photos using two image control commands and the web address for where your photos are stored.

Firstly, you need to copy the link for your photo. For example, I have my shots on Photobucket. The link to mine is:

http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/ac22 ... D420c2.jpg

The controls for the board are Image directly after. No spaces between the commands and the link.

To illustrate, I have placed a space between the Image so you can see what it looks like. If I did not place the extra spaces, you would just see the photo.

So, now I remove those spaces:

And, there is a photo. :)

If tbat was all cryptic, Tigerhaze has a step-by-step tutorial here:

What are the odds the rippers off of the back of a straight 450 would bolt up to a 450c?

the ripper unit is the same (model #3110) the bracket that bolts to the tractor is the same on 450B and 450C bracket on 450 is different BUT it appears it might be able to be modified to fit a 450C though

just so you know our "dedicated pic server" is back up.....anyone needing access to load pics needs to email Lavoy Wilcox your chosen login and password, once he acknowledges you can only access from the crawler site after you use your crawler site login, the "question and answer" forum shows up at the bottom, open that and then open "dedicated pic server" where you will find the hyper link to the server.

Welcome to the forum.

You might do well to start a new post of your own -looking for a 450c Ripper- than tagging onto this old one. People miss the dates and your current info gets muddled in the mix with the old. I would suggest you be clear on what you are looking for, such as complete ripper and mounts, etc. is your crawler inside blade, outside blade, or loader. I believe some mounts were different, someone else may respond to that point.

Adding your general location to your profile might help as well. If your in California you likely won't be interested in a ripper in Maine, so it would be a waste of time for both of us if I was to post of one here for you to look at. So travel range, or freight, to get one you would consider won't hurt to mention.
