Clutch parts

Post by SEAL » Thu Oct 30, 2014 7:54 am

Lavoy:

I have a 450 crawler loader. Serial # 5E3M012289. I am going to do the clutches and brakes this winter. The parts I know I am going to need are the 14 steels, the 16 friction disks, and the 2 throw out bearings. The 2 pressure plates will be a decision made after I get it torn down. I will rebuild my brake bands myself since I got the procedure and parts list here on this site. Are the springs for the clutch pressure plate available if they are needed verses a rebuilt or new assembly?

I want to thank you for the great site that you run here as it has been very helpful to me and others. If you can give me price and availability on these parts so that I can know exactly how much I need to save up between now and the rebuild I would appreciate it. If you prefer to conduct our business in some other way than on this site please advise me of that procedure.

Thanks
Steve

No pressure plate parts are available, sorry. Let me know when you get to that point, I will check on new and rebuilt.
Fibers and steels are no problem.

Go to the last post on the second page for the supplier and part numbers. I do not know if the 2010 brake lining is the same as the 450 but I would assume someone on this site could answer that question for us.

Parts

Post by SEAL » Thu Feb 12, 2015 10:14 am

Lavoy

I am finally ready for parts. I need 14 steels, 16 fiber disks, and 2 throwout bearings. My pressure plates are OK and meet specs so I will reuse them.
