350 engine removel
Friend just picked up a 350 loader and it needs engine work.He says the book says you need to remove the loader to remove the engine,is there any way around that or is that what needs to be done?

No do not need to pull the loader.
I just got done rebuilding a diesel 350 and you do not need to pull the loader, I did remove the bucket to make it much easier to remove the engine. Once you have the bucket off, pull the front cowl which is very heavy like everything else on the crawler. Remove the hydraulic pump and radiator. Once you unhook everything to the engine you will need to remove the four bolts that attach the engine to the bell housing. Two of them you remove from the drivers side of the bell housing and the other two you will need about three feet of socket extensions can reach them from the front.
