350 steering clutchs

Thanks for the help so far.
I now have the final drive off my 350 and need to know how to check the disc for the steering clutches ? I have taken off the pressure plate but don't know the specs for the plates. And what should they look like the ones I have a center and about 1/16 on each side and looks like were groves about half way down. Thanks Larry

There is a site, I think it tractornet but not sure. anyway this guy
shows the process from start to finish on a 350 JD, lots of pictures with
commentary. I do remember it was very important to have the clutch pack
in spec . It may help you a lot, and the folks there were very helpful in
walking the guy through it. Hope this helps and good luck.

PS It may have been a 450 JD but I think it don't really matter.

The dozer is a John Deere 350Bw (wide track with blade extentions), ... I've bought a 350B loader and had to replace both steering clutches.

The system has drained out so all of the fluid will have to be replace. No problem ... A John Deere 350B has dry steering clutches. It uses JD ...

i know this is an old post but did the 2010 have wet steering clutches..i know i got a 1010 and ... tracks are worn out so i understand that ..but i've replaced seal upon ... have the same clutches as say a 350 b...now that was a good dozer ... just a mess ...the 350 jd has more a set of clutches in there that work ...
