Drive sprocket clearance

Post by scremineagle » Sun Dec 21, 2014 6:44 am

I just replaced sprockets with an aftermarket sprocket and right side hits roller every half turn. will this just wear in or should I be concerned.

should be able to use shims to readjust it to get it back to between the roller edges. they are about 4 inch by two inch with a 2.5 inch semi circle cut out of them secured by two bolts. They are visible just in front of the sprocket if you are looking from the side. See your owners manual.

rereading your post... only every HALF turn? is the sprocket seated against the axle fully?

Would seem like something behind the sprocket so it is not flush with the hub.

Yea that makes sense. Was sure that it was clean & seated but will remove to check. Spose the sprocket itself could also be built a little off. Thanks for the response
