Hello, I have a 1980 350C and the isolator plate has broken springs twice in 700 hrs. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be causing these failures? I have the engine out now and it appears that one of the anchor bolts came loose and stripped the rest. The plate looks OK so I should be able to get buy with just new springs and bolts.
The part numbers:
Isolator pn AT29086
Spring pn T29675
Retainer pn T55320
Any advise will help, thanks.

All of those parts are Deere only. I am working on a kit to convert to later style isolator which will eliminate the problem, but that is the best I can tell you.

I don't have direct experience with the spring isolators, but the others that have spoken on here about them say it is critical that the springs and tabs are installed with a threadlocker sealant or they can come loose and cause havoc similar to what you described.

As Tigerhaze says installation details are critical. I think Jdemaris gave the comprehensive list of installation procedures on yesterdays tractors. If you are a little bit adventurous there was a fairly recent post on 350C isolators here that detailed using a 100+HP rated clutch disc bolted onto the flywheel as an alternate to the 350C isolator.

Can you post a picture of how you had it assembled, or just describe it. Assembly is very important, cleaning/prepping the threads and Loctite them along with proper spring installation and bolt torque pays off. if you have a minute look at the pics I posted a couple threads down. I have my stock flywheel, springs, isolator and anchors assembled under the bench, if you need I can post a picture of how it should be assembled if that will help you.
