jd 350 with winch, value and infor
well iv had many crawlers and my last was a 310g case, and befor that was a 440 jd , im trying to work up to a 450, i found a jd 350 with a winch and 6 way blade, it has the disel in it, the guy just re did the trans and it needs to be pt back in, so what im needing to know is whats it worth and weight and hp range, man said i can have it all for 3500, is this a strong dozer, , i mainly do pond dressing and fence rows, but mainly want it for my land to log ciders trees, im in ky also, ay help would be nice
350c 6 way blade, winch, log arch,,, current 3 year project of being saved and put backgether.. HELP
Here is the spec sheet for a straight 350 crawler loader- the dozer will weigh a little less but the HP will be the same as will many of the other specifications.

Worth is based on many factors such as location, condition of the machine, market conditions, etc. In my area, $3500 would be a great price for a working 350 with a 6 way blade and working winch but since this crawler is in pieces you will need to take that into account.

If you have the serial number tag, you will be able to narrow down the year by the serial number range:switchhappy wrote:well i need to know on the model, the tag said jd350CE... does that make it a 350c right?

BTW, the "C" after 350 in the serial number stands for crawler. It sounds like you still have a "C" or newer model due to the wet clutches, but could be a newer model like the "E". You will know for sure by the serial number range itself since it is sequential by year.
See the relevant post below- Digitup is pretty knowledgeable about the 350 and 450 series crawlers.

Hi,
The 350 series only went up as far as the 'D' series, so the 'CE' can't stand for it being Crawler, E-series.
There was an 'economy' variant for the B-series that I recall. Perhaps this is what the 'E' means.
Not that I know what one did not get on the machine to make it a less costly Economy variant. No power steering? No reverser? Manual blade?
Anyway, at some point, the 'C' meaning Crawler was dropped from the serial number plates, but I really do not know when that happened.
I have seen '350C' on early straight 350's, where the 'C' clearly means crawler. I've also seen '350CB' on later 'B' series 350's where, again, the 'C' means crawler.
But, then, I've also seen '350C' on 350's with wet steering clutches where the 'C' must refer to the series, not the fact it's a crawler.
Maybe it's a case of, when they got to the 'C' series, someone decided that stamping '350CC' on the plate looked weird and so they used only one 'C' for the series and dropped the 'C' for Crawler at that point.
My problem is that I have not seen enough examples of JD350 serial number plates to know just what was going on when. What we need is for the guy that stamped plates at Deere to become a member and tell us!
In this case, if the machine has wet steering clutches, then I'd say that the plate is trying to tell us it's a 350 crawler, series 'C', Economy variant.
Later!
Stan

To make it even more confusing, my former 350B had "350BE" on the plate. It was a standard 350B with 6-way 6305 blade, standard JD rippers, dual cylinder power steering and reverser. Nothing that would indicate "economy" (but the 6405 blade on my 450C is MUCH BETTER in design than the 6305). The serial number was 126738T.Stan Disbrow wrote:Hi,
