I did just thought 525.00 was steep for it after pricing, that looks good compared to 1120.00 at mother deere!!

yeah that seems like a good price,a quality recore will be as good as a new one.
if the water pump has been there a long time I would rebuild that as well, belt and hoses and you won't have to pull the nose and grill off for a long time.

The motor I am installing has 920 hours on it. What is the life expectancy for a water pump??

I wouldn't go by hours,I would go by how old the pump is...if you don't know it would be a good idea to rebuild it.
the pump is rebuildable with a kit from deere or maybe Lavoy can get you one too.
I am sure you don't want to pull that front end off any time soon!!

Pulling the front off is a hassle, when the bearing goes out and the fan goes through the new rad core is the real piss me off.
Check the fan blades for any play at all, that will give you somewhat of an indication.
