We got a fair amount of snow on the ground, was looking to be a white Christmas but we're into a warm spell now and the snow may be gone by then. I was hoping to mess around with the 420 in the snow but spent 2 days removing all the ice cubes from the transmission and hydraulic oil after getting it started. We have a couple months of winter yet though and now it is properly lubricated and ready to go.

Have a great holiday everyone.

We had two seperate snowfalls, about 6-8" apiece a couple weeks ago. We had been well below zero, then warmed up in the 20's to 30's, so lost some of the snow. I was kind of hoping for a blizzard for Christman, but no luck so far.

A Merry Christmas to Lavoy and all the readers at the JDcrawlers site. Getting a little snow here in western NY. Should be a white one here. Will turn down the second axle shaft today. I will try to post some pictures upon completion. Mark

Hi,

Happy Solstice to all!

Heck, I just had to use the holiday that's least used this time of year. :P

No White Christmas around here, altough it rained 1/2 inch yesterday. It's so dry that little bit seemed like a lot.

My mother ususlly comes down from the North Country of the Adirondacks, but didn't make it this year as winter came about a month early for her. So, the plan is now for her to come down in April for a few weeks and enjoy an early Spring. :)

Here's to hoping that there are crawlers under the tree for all! ;)

This Christmas I received a neat little gift from a good friend of mine, a diecast model of a 420c with blade made by Ertl. Let's see if I can post a pic of one just like it... Image
Hopefully this summer we will start the restoration of my 1957 420c with loader. The information on this site sure will help tremendously and I would like to thank everybody (and especially Lavoy) who has contributed stories of their own restorations and answered questions for us newbies. This really is one great site!

I bought a toy like that too. It's yellow with a brush guard and no 3-pt hitch. Nice display model.

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. Here in Newfoundland we had about two feet of snow before christmas but it rained last night(Christmas eve). We still have lots of snow and more forcasted for the end of the week. Our 420c is going to have a busy winter.
