1959 JD 440IC

Heard a rumor that the gas 2 cylinders have replacable cylinder liners, does anyone know if this is true?

Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but I'm new to old JD engine rebuilding.

Thanks

The book for my MC does not show liners. most likely was taking about diesel engines.

Parts dealing shows a liner listing for both diesel and gas engines.

This is for a 1959 440 IC

No, the two cylinder gas engines never had a replaceable liner, they must be bored. Your dealer is looking at an aftermarket piston kit book, and they all says pistons and liners even if the engine never had them.
