Hi all,
This is what i found on the internet and bought it. Looks very handy to use for my 350.
it pulls the track ends together so i can put in the master pin in.
it reaches about 60 cm / 23 inch

They also work really well for tightening tire chains on a skidder

That unit was built to tighten skidder chains the track tighteners are a bit deeper in the hook than that so watch your self in case it kicks out Hugo . It may be OK on the smaller tracks but just watch it !!.Digitup,

The ones I have always seen advertised were for tank tracks.

I beleave this one is also for a tank track. It is painted all green and has army numbers on the side.
But i thought it is always nice to have. In the Netherlands there are not that much track specialists or bulldozers/trackloaders so if such a tool comes along don't hasitate to long.
I now own a 350 but i would also like to own a 420 or so.
I have not tried it on the 350 tracks yet, when it fits i let you know.

I purchased a similar tool (advertised as a tank track tightener) a couple of years ago when I had slipped a track on my 2010. I never did use it- once Lavoy and WWatson explained that it was easiest to reattach and drive the master pin on the sprocket I found that was easiest for me.
If I remember right I found I had a hard time getting clearance for the tool's jaws on the track bushings underneath and the jaws were too large to fit in the slots on the triple bar pads on the top of the track. Hopefully it works better for you.

I just use a good quality come along. Works fine, lots lighter and far more versatile.
