1010 hydraulic pump specs
I don't have my manuals handy and I'm trying to find the pressure and GPM specs for the hydraulic pump on the 1010c.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: 1010 hydraulic pump specs
Depends. If equiped with a dozer and no aux. hydraulics it comes with a 13 GPM pump, i.e. 1.7 cubic inch displacement per revolution.brettjones wrote:I don't have my manuals handy and I'm trying to find the pressure and GPM specs for the hydraulic pump on the 1010c.

If it has aux. hydraulics and/or is a loader it uses a 23 GPM pump. i.e. 2.8 cubic inches per revolution.
Early pumps are Webster-Electric and later or replaced pumps are Cessnas. All use SAE-2 mounts. 13 GPM pumps have 3/4" splined shafts and 23 GPM pumps have 7/8" splined shafts.
System max. PSI is 2000 but pumps are rated at a max of 2500 PSI.

It will pump around 6-7 GPMs with the engine running just above idle which will give plenty of speed for a log splitter with a 4" to 5" diameter cylinder.brettjones wrote:So a 1963 vintage machine with an outside blade and a winch is likely to be the 13gpm Cessnas?
I asked because I'm considering using the hydraulic system to power a log splitter through some quick release fittings.
You just have be very careful how you hook it up and use. It's easy to instantly blow the pump to pieces with one mistake. We had many brand new pumps come back that way.
If you already have an unused aux. port and valve, you're fine. If not and you're attempting to add, that's where the trouble comes in.

John,
Would a 3-point / rockshaft on a dozer be considered an aux system and have the higher volume pump? I just bought a 1010 dozer with 3-point.
Thanks for all your help! Gonna make a book of your posts!

Hi Jason- I take it you found a 1010 dozer rather than the loader you were looking at? Give us the scoop on it if you get a chance...always interesting to hear about someone's new machine. The 3-point hitch is uncommon and would be a nice addition.
