manifold paint

Post by mgbuddydad » Sun Apr 05, 2009 11:51 am

Is there any paint that will truly hold up over time on a two cylinder exhaust manifold ? Have a 40 that will glow dark cherry red in the dark, and these vertical 2 cylinders seem to eat manifolds.

Want to make sure that you have the carb set correctly. If too lean, the manifold gets even hotter than normal.
As for paint, a well applied "1,200 F"should be on for a while.

I like the look of the cast iron color heat paint, I think you can get it at NAPA.
