I am starting to put my 420 back together and was wondering about the spacer, Part #M2814T. The spacer does not get tight. When the nuts are tight the spacer still swings up and down. I this supposed to do this or is it supposed to be tight.
Just wondering if I to repair/replace this as well.

Now that the brackets are tight to the axle shaft there is about 1/8" of side clearance on the ends of the spacer. It looks like the bosses around the 7/16" holes on the inside of the bracket are worn from the loose spacer swinging. I will shim between the inside of the bracket and shoulder of the spacer with some washers and tighten the nuts.
