440 clutch installation

Re-installing the main drive clutch disc on my 440IC, cannot remember if the side with the longer hub section goes toward engine or trans ? Embarrassed to admit this, but cannot find in the manual, not clear from parts list. Appreciate help.

Seems to me the longer portion goes towards the transmission or it will hit on the flywheel.

I & T manual JD-15 for the 40 thru 440 tractors says "The long hub of lined plate should be installed away from flywheel." HTH
