cone point adjustment

anyone have specs on a at11487t gage or know another way to set the pinion(cone point adjustment) ? iam installing all new brg,cones,seals its a late model 1010

most of the time if you dont lose any shims it should come right back in spec if you are useing the same gear set also if you have or can get an older motors manual (50 S) it will show you what the gear wipe should look like

I put a thin metal straight edge across the opening in the case and measure from there to determine the center point of the opening. Then I use the straight edge as a reference point to measure to the pinion shim surface and calculate the shims needed so that the pinion cone point comes to the center of the case opening.
