450b engine

Post by mot » Tue Aug 25, 2009 10:05 pm

I aquired a 450B that had the engine rebuilt 10 to 15 years ago but not quite finished. It got wet shortly before I got it and 1 sleeve was ruined. Other than that and needing the head and block lightly reground it appears to have suffered no other damage. Now what shape the rest of the machine is in after 15 years sitting outside is a good question. One steering lever was stuck but I managed to work it loose and the undercarriage looks to be pretty good. Does anyone know where I can get a just 1 sleeve? The numbers on the new pistons show them to not be Deere parts, there are no markings on the sleeves. Thanks, Tom

You should be able to get a single sleeve from Lavoy or even mother Deere but try Lavoy first on here Digitup.

I have 4 sleeves from the engine that was in the 450 - I can measure it if you need one.
