Hyd lines for lift arm

Hi
Is there a good way to get at and remove the hydraulic lines that are mounted inside the lift arm uprights for a jd450c? You only have room for one hand and it would seem you need three hands to remove the lines from the mounting block. I must be missing something.

Charlie I have dealt with these lines before are you dealing with the cast spacers if so some curse words are involved at times pull the hold in bolts and slide the cast pieces out forward and back these should be replaced before operating the machine much after they look like a pain in the a** but are a good way to hold the hoses in place as the mud and dirt can fill the hole if not in place and other makes that don't have this feature have big problems right in this area .Remember to take a small piece of cloth and plug the hose end that you are pulling or pushing through to keep contamination of the system to a minimum .Digitup.

i replaced these lines a couple of times. yes its a pain. remove the cylinder, it give you a little more room. you can get to the nuts and holders. yes but just think after a couple time doing this it tends to get easier.

We usually block the loader up or set it on something sturdy, then remove the lower pin. This way you can swing the cylinder out of the way and work on the hoses easily.

Key is to do it safely.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't worked on the lines since before christmas. I have one off but having trouble with the other one. I have the mounting block detached but still can only get one hand in the area to get the wrench onto the nut.
