My radiator on 350B has a bad oil cooler in it, water from radiator runs through it, local radiator shop says they cant fix it, a new radiator from Deere about 1500

thats not good, does anyone know of anything that would be wrong with pluging the hoses and just using it for a radiator and useing an external oil cooler, and what size cooler do you think it would need?

You make some good points KenP, the cooler may need to be as big as the radiator, I went to 2 shops they talked like they couldnt get a cooler, it was made in the tank, and if they took it apart they would have to put a new core in it, so looking for a used one maybe a good idea or I maybe able to find one thats bad that would have a good tank- cooler on the bottom, it is a dozer.

I got my radiator on my 350 completely recored for $350. Just like new and much cheaper than a new radiator. I found the shop by asking my local dozer mechanic who he used.

Keep that old rad you should be able to rebuild it even with a leaking cooler core in it .If you don,t have too many core tubes damaged or the tanks damaged it is a repairable unit and you could sell it on here.Digitup.
