john deere 2010 operating shift valve HELP

just put a gas motor in my 2010, just finished fine tuning it and put the loader back on and I was playing with it in my back yard when all of a sudden I went to shift to reverse and it was stuck in forward and now I cant get it out of gear, I unhoaked the linkage and pulled out the shaft and housing and the part that attaches to the linkage was bent when I tried to straighten it it broke , where can i get a new shaft and how do I put it back in and attach the clips without taking off the top cover?
