Not enough adjustment steering control rod
after finishing the left side steering clutch rebuild, I thought I check the right side to see how far out of adjustment it is. I've run into a problem.. I don't have enough threads on the steering clutch control rod. I've thought about it and have a couple of ways to go, but I was wondering if this is a common problem or only a rebuilt will fix the problem... ANY SUGGESTIONS ? Anyone know where to get handles for the steering levers at? Thanks

If you check out my "2010 Repair" post, go to page three and I show pictures of adjusting the clutch throw-out pads for full stroke. With the clutches in place, you should be able to adjust the pad movement to get you more plate movement. Maybe the fiber disks have worn thinner and now it takes more stroke to open the clutches and turn.
My clutch has three pads, so rotate the clutch by hand and adjust each the same. Try to make each pad the same distance from the throw-out bearing so it runs flat on the shaft.
You might also check your throw-out bearings for visible failure. If they are beat, then they are not as thick as normal resulting in more stroke for the same effect.

ready to go finally!!!!
I ended up welding a thicker nut to it and it gave me the adjustment I needed. All that's left is to insert the battery it's charged and ready. The only problem I've run into is I have missed placed the the drawbar pin on the front end. I'm sure it'll show up later
